Our St. Davids Day celebrations are always marked with a very special menu. Although we didn't celebrate on the actual day (1st March) our belated celebration on Wednesday 5th March was just as good as ever. So if you want to enjoy fine food and good company, in future book up as we are usually fully booked well in advance.
In 640 A.D., the Welsh wore leeks in their hats to distinguish themselves from the enemy during the battle between King Cadwallader of Wales and the Saxons. The leek became an emblem of pride in Wales and Welshmen wear the leek to commemorate King Cadwallader's victory on St. David's Day, March 1st.
